Q&A with Anna di Canna
Q: Please give us a brief introduction of yourself, what you do, how long you've been smoking, and what you do for fun?
Hi, my name is Anna, I currently work in advertising; as a side hobby, I run my cannabis review blog @annadicanna. I've been using medical cannabis for over 10 years now and its been my biggest ally. For fun, I love to read, spend time with friends and family, go to the beach, and write.
Q: What got you into cannabis? How long have you been a user?
Like many, I got into cannabis recreationally but ended up being a lifetime user for medical purposes due to my anxiety and eating disorder. I've been a non-stop user for ten years now and it has helped me enormously.
Q: How often do you smoke / use cannabis?
I use cannabis every single day.
Q: What are your favorite methods of administration? Dabbing? Vaping? Joints? Blunts? Spliffs?
My favorite methods of administration are vaping, edibles, dabbing, and lastly joints.
Q: How does it make you feel?
Cannabis makes me feel grounded, positive, centered, and focused on the things that really matter in life.
Q: Do you smoke recreationally or for therapeutic benefits?
I smoke for therapeutic benefits to deal with my anxiety. But, sometimes during the weekends, I like to unwind a little more.
Q: What is your message for other people who are curious about cannabis?
My message for people who are curious about cannabis is to educate themselves before trying it. Cannabis is a very individual medicine that works according to each individual, so you have to educate yourself in order to choose the correct medicine for you. What works for your friend might not work for you, be patient, and enjoy the ride.
Q: What's your favorite strain(s)?
My favorite strains are Girl Scout Cookies and Mimosa, they both give me all the benefits that I need for my everyday use.
Q: What would you like to see for the future of this industry?
I would like to see cannabis more accessible to those who need it, as well as decriminalization. Many families have been torn apart by the governments' lack of understanding of the benefits of medicinal cannabis and this needs to stop immediately.
Q: What more would you like to learn about cannabis or the cannabis industry?
I would like to learn more about the different ways we can incorporate cannabis into our day to day life.
Q: Any words of advice to new users?
Take your time, enjoy the process of discovering what works for you and what doesn't. Don't be afraid to ask your budtender or even your friendly cannabis blogger.
Q: Any words of advice for people in general?
Don't judge cannabis without trying it, give it a chance. You just might find the medicine you have been looking for without even knowing it.
Q: How would you say cannabis enhances your experiences, whether it be for your creative art/craft or just life in general?
Medicinal cannabis enhances my day to day experience as a whole, it brings me the calmness that I need in order to work and forget about my anxiety. And it enhances special moments like spending time with friends and family by making you understand how the little things in life are what really matters.
Q: What's one of your most memorable moments involving cannabis?
My most memorable moments with cannabis are at the beach reading or sharing hilarious stories with my friends. Those are the days that are extra special for me.
Q: Where can we learn more about what you do? Instagram? Facebook? Your company? Some kind of shout out?
You can learn more about me and my blog at @annadicanna on Instagram. I would like to give a special shout out to my friends and loved ones that supported my journey with cannabis without you I would not be the person that I am today.
